(1) Log in to the official website of the Czech Intellectual Property Office (  upv.gov.cz/en ), click "Global search" from the Quick links at the bottom of the homepage, and enter the patent search page (  isdv.upv. cz/webapp/!res  ).

(2) On the patent search page, you can search by entering the patent holder/inventor/licensee/pledge creditor/business place/patent name, etc., click the "enter" key on the keyboard, select the patent to be searched, and click Use the search icon on the left side of the entry to enter the patent page, where you can check the legal status of the patent, the effective maintenance date of paid annual fees, and payment details.

(3) On the patent page, you can check that the legal status of the patent is valid; the annual fees paid are valid until 2021-07-25; the annual fees paid are valid and maintained for the 8th year and all annual fee payment details.

Czech annual fee calculation method

(1) Czech patent annual fees: The payment year is calculated from the date of application. The protection period for invention patents is 20 years, for utility model patents is 10 years, and for design patents is 25 years.

(2) Example of calculation of annual fee payment date for invention patent: In the authorization notice, state the deadline for the next annual fee payment. For example, the patent number is 304709, the application date is 2013-07-25, and the authorization date is 2014-07-24. The date for paying the patent annual fee (the first year annual fee) in one go is 2014-08-01.
