According to the joint decision of the China National Intellectual Property Administration of China and the Russian Federation Intellectual Property Office, the China Russia PPH pilot project will be extended indefinitely from July 1, 2023. The requirements and procedures for participating in this pilot project continue to follow the China Russia PPH guidelines.

PPH is a fast track patent examination channel between different countries or regions, which accelerates the patent examination process through work sharing among patent examination agencies. Since the first PPH pilot was launched in November 2011, the China National Intellectual Property Administration has successively established PPH cooperation with patent examination institutions in 31 countries or regions.

The extension of the China Russia PPH pilot project will further promote exchanges and cooperation in the field of intellectual property between China and Russia, serve innovation entities in China and Russia to accelerate the patent examination process, and continue to promote in-depth cooperation between the two bureaus in the field of patent examination.
