Oman hosted a workshop with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to discuss projects and ongoing cooperation activities to improve the national IP system.

The 2-day workshop included visual presentations and sessions, all related to ongoing cooperation projects, in particular the identification of IP training materials, training of diplomats and commercial officials, the creation of a master's program in IP, and cooperation in other areas of higher education.

The parties also elaborated on how the member states can develop intellectual property assets and the projects that can be implemented in Oman.

The two sides discussed the scope of business for the establishment of a national training center for intellectual property, opportunities and challenges facing intellectual property. In this context, the workshop reviewed the national IP strategy to support the "Oman Vision 2040" and innovative industries.
