On May 8, 2023, Paraguay's China National Intellectual Property Administration (DINAPI) officially became the intellectual property office using TMClass.
TMClass is designed by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) to allow users to search and classify goods and services, helping users identify relevant terms and corresponding categories under the Nice classification related to trademark applications. DINAPI will use and accept the Spanish Nice classification content in TMClass.
With the addition of DINAPI, the number of national and regional intellectual property offices participating in TMClass has increased to 95, including the African Regional Intellectual Property Office (ARIPO), the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). In Latin America, there are 16 intellectual property offices participating in TMClass, with only Bolivia, Nicaragua, and Venezuela's intellectual property offices yet to join.
