Q: What is AFCP?

The U.S. Patent Office issued a final rejection of the applicable Pilot program After Final Consideration Pilot 2.0, or AFCP 2.0. Even if the new application is completed, the review Committee may still use the additional time provided to consider the applicant's response to the final OA and conduct the necessary search.

Applicable case type:

(1) After a patent application has been approved by FOA, there is already an approved scope, or there is a tendency to approve the scope, and it will be amended towards the approved scope

(2) After the FOA, the patent application does not yet have an approvable scope, but it can be amended to obtain an approvable scope, but it needs to be examined by the examiner within a limited time or with an interview.
