(1) Step one: Log in to the official website of the French Intellectual Property Office ( https://www.inpi.fr/fr ), click "Protect your innovation" on the homepage, and then click "Protect your technological creation" in the drop-down column Enter the patent protection content overview page;

Step 2: On the patent protection content overview page, click the blue icon "Patent Basics" on the right side at the bottom of the page to enter the patent basic content overview page;

Step 3: On the patent basic content overview page, click the red icon "Access" to enter the patent query page ( https://bases-brevets.inpi.fr/fr/accueil.html ).

(2) On the patent query page, enter the application number/patent number and click "RECHERCHER" on the right side of the input box, which is the search button, to enter the patent page and query the legal status and payment records of the patent.

(3) On the patent page, you can check that the patent payment is valid and maintained until 2020-06-30, and the payment is valid and maintained in the 8th year; the next annual fee payment deadline is 2021-06-30.

( 1 ) French patent annual fees: The payment year is calculated from the date of application. The protection period for invention patents is 20 years, for utility model patents is 10 years, and for designs, the protection period is 5 years from the date of application and can be renewed. 4 times, namely years 6-10 , years 11-15 , years 16-20 , and years 21-25 . The maximum protection period is 25 years.
